Here’s our finished fish and chips plated up on white. Really fun day cooking with Katy and my sister. We made a healthy oven-baked fish with sweet potato crisps and roasted squash. We made the crumbs using day-old rolls which made them extra tasty. My sis made a delicious avocado and mixed bean salad for a match made in heaven…well, the Smiling Chef kitchen at least πŸ˜‰

Katy sneaking a piece of cheddar for our cheese board pie test today. Cheddar cheese crust, apple and macadamia filling, cheese lattice and red grapes. Sounds mad we know but there’s method to our madness…plus its part of the fun of being able to call playing with your food work.

Here’s how the pie turned out. The makeshift lattice worked a treat. Great experiment with my sis and Katy.
