Why not start the day with a warming bowl of porridge. Not only will the fresh fruit satisfy your cravings, but the slow-released energy will keep you fuller for longer, helping you save on the mid-morning coffee and croissant. In a small saucepan combine ½ cup semolina with ¾ cup milk. Cook over a low heat, stirring constantly to avoid sticking, until the semolina is translucent. Thin the mixture with more milk if needed. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool. Peel a small blood orange and slice into rounds. Combine the oranges, 2 sliced strawberries and 1 tsp honey in a bowl. Stir the mandarin salad through the porridge to serve. This porridge also makes a great dessert served with vanilla ice cream, and virtually any fruit can be used in place of the blood oranges and strawberries.
